About this place

Protected forest and nesting home of the Philippine eagle.

Mt. Sinaka is known as the smallest nesting habitat of the Philippine eagle in the wild, with less than 2,000 hectares of forest. The Philippine Eagle Foundation confirmed it as a nesting site in 1995, and the area was declared a critical habitat in 2020.

The mountain also gives a high view of the whole Arakan Valley. Since this is a protected eagle habitat, coordinate with the Municipal Tourism Office before planning a visit.
